Happy Memorial Day friends! With Memorial Day comes the start of summer aka “dress-season.” I love how easy it is to create a complete look with a dress – just add shoes, a few accessories, a bag, and you’re ready to go out.
I was drawn to this dress because of the deep green color. I don’t have much green in my closet, so I thought it would add some nice variety. I also love the allover floral pattern – it feels a bit tropical. I also love how my pink earrings and lipstick pop against the green.
Another thing that I really like about this dress is the longer sleeve length – so many dresses are sleeveless or off-the-shoulder this season, but I prefer a bit more upper arm coverage!
We took these photos when we were in Illinois celebrating my brother’s graduation. I love the architecture and history in this “village” located along the Mississippi River. I’m currently working on a post about the B&B where we stayed and how to plan your own weekend getaway.
