Pink Chenille Sweater
Fall has arrived in Ohio and it’s time to switch out the summer wardrobe. We were hanging onto the warm weather for quite some time, but now it seems that the cooler temperatures are here to stay. I was on the hunt for some new sweaters this season. I loved this pink chenille sweater when I first saw it in the window of Anthropologie at the Chelsea Market while at New York Fashion Week.
I didn’t have time to look at it then, but I loved the chenille fabric and it seemed unique (now they are a ton of chenille sweaters out this season). It’s easy to see why chenille has become so popular this season. This sweater is like wearing a cozy blanket.
When I got home, I looked up this sweater online and was able to snag one on sale. I have to say I love it just as much as I thought that I would. I also feel like it’s a fun throwback to the 90’s when chenille was super popular.
For this look, I wanted to put-together a simple, everyday outfit. I started with a navy striped tee from J.Crew – you can never go wrong with stripes (especially when the shirt has a fringe hem!) I wore an easy pair of dark skinny jeans and my clogs. I have had these clogs for a couple years now and they are great for wearing year-round, as long as there is no snow or rain. I often pair them with pants (like this look) or even with dresses (last seen here).
I added a hat and these bold sunnies (under $10). I finished the look with my Rebecca Minkoff Small Monroe Tote. I’ve had this tote for a couple years also and it’s the perfect bag for travel. It’s big enough to hold all of the essentials (and more), but it never looks bulky or too big. It’s gone with me everywhere from the mountains of Colorado to the busy streets of New York.
