Last weekend we were invited to check out the new menu at California Pizza Kitchen. CPK is one of my favorite restaurants – I still remember how excited I was when I found out that they were coming to Columbus years ago.

Long known for their unique pizzas and salad offerings, they have been in the process of expanding their menu to include other offerings that include seasonal ingredients as well as local items.

Don’t be worried, they’re not getting rid of the longtime favorites like the Original BBQ pizza or the Tostada pizza (my favorite), they’re simply expanding the menu. Their new menu includes items such as a fire-grilled ribeye, a halibut dish, and a roasted garlic chicken dish.

In addition to expanding their food menu, they also expanded their drink menu to include more creative cocktails as well as locally brewed beers. I’m not a beer drinker, but it was nice to see them supporting regional brands such as Land Grant Brewing, Rhinegeist Brewery, and more.
One of the most exciting parts of their new menu, in my opinion, is their new lunch menu. They now offer lunch combos such as a lunch-sized pizza with soup or salad / half a sandwich with soup or salad / soup with salad. For example, you could order the California Veggie pizza with the Caesar salad — yum!
On our visit, we sampled a bit of everything from appetizers to desserts. Feel free to scroll down to read exactly what we ate and click over to see their new menu.
