Spirit Airlines – New in Columbus

Thank you to Spirit Airlines for sponsoring today’s post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Spring is just around the corner and with the warmer weather, I’m ready for an adventure.

I’m not sure about you, but I always wish that I could travel more. With a full-time job and family, it’s not always possible to travel as much as I would like. When I talk with people about travel, I usually hear the same things about why they don’t travel more – not enough money, not enough vacation time, too many obligations, etc. Travel is expensive – between the cost of getting there, the cost of staying there, and eating while you are there (not to mention the fun things you’d like to do), your money can be used up pretty quickly.

Now you don’t have to use up as much of your money on getting to your destination.

Spirit Airlines has made it to the John Glen International Airport in Columbus with 7 direct flights (to warm destinations!)

Spirit Airlines differs from other major airlines carriers in that you get to build your own flight.

You start by paying for your base fare aka “the Bare fare” and then you can add on the “extras” with “Frill Control” – so that you are paying for what you would like to use. For example, you are able to add on your bags, roomier seats, snacks, paper boarding passes, etc. Since everyone can just pay for what they plan on using, it allows people on a budget to just stick with the basics, while others can pay to have more amenities.
