New York Architecture/Spring in the City

A few weeks ago, I headed to New York for a conference and was able to spend some time in the City. New York City in the spring is a dream. We had the perfect weather. Central Park was buzzing with events and activities. The weather was warm, so it wasn’t necessary to have lots of layers, but it wasn’t too hot, so walking with still enjoyable.

We ended up not “doing” all that much. We essentially just took our own walking tour of the city – going from Grand Central Station up Central Park up to about the Guggenheim and then walked around the Upper East Side to meet some family. I must say that I couldn’t have imagined a better way to spend the day. There is so much to see in New York that I truly believe one could spend a lifetime exploring the City and still not experience everything. I love that kind of energy.

On this day, in particular, I was drawn to the architecture – especially the contrast of the old and new – New York Architecture.
