I’m a big plaid fan, but sometimes the standard plaid button-down shirts can seem a little lumberjack-ish – do you feel that way too? This Plaid Tie Neck shirt is a chic take on the classic plaid shirt.
Last month in Colorado, we shot a bunch of looks in the mountains, so get ready for plenty of mountain backdrops 🙂
For this look, I started with the plaid shirt. I love how it’s a muted plaid and a bit drapey. It also has the neck bow. It’s chic and fun, but I wanted the outfit to have a bit of a western/cowboy feel since I was out in the mountains. I added some dark denim and chose clogs (instead of boots) and a fedora hat (instead of a cowboy hat).
The great thing about this outfit is that you can wear the same shirt and jeans and just switch out your accessories for a completely different feel. In the city, I would get rid of the clogs and the hat. Instead, I would add some booties with long camel belted coat and a chic tote.
Which version would you wear – mountain chic or city chic?
