I have shared quite a few gift guides this season, but I saved one of my favorites for last. One of my favorite types of gifts to receive is jewelry. I think it’s because jewelry pieces are usually extra thoughtful and can last for generations. My most treasured piece of jewelry would probably be my wedding/engagement ring set, but I also have various pieces of jewelry that have been passed down from my grandmothers.
Whether you’re looking to buy THE ring this holiday season or just picking up a special gift for your best friend, I created a fun collage of jewelry ideas below (click on the item to see where it’s from).
When I shop for jewelry, I have several favorite places (depending on the occasion). For extra special pieces, I like to look at Tiffany & Co – their quality, customer service, and attention to detail can’t be beat. For trendy pieces, I like to look at Nordstrom. Also, the Baublebar is full of super trendy, well-made items right now. For something a bit different, but still affordable, I like to check out Anthropoloigie. Etsy is another great option when looking for handmade pieces and it’s a great chance to “shop small.”
Have you ever considered getting special coverage for your pieces? Many people have their pieces covered under their homeowners or renters insurance, but Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company provides an extra layer of protection. Jewelers Mutual has been exclusively insuring jewelry for more than 100 years and offers repair or replacement coverage that includes worldwide travel protection for all types of jewelry and watches. Coverage includes loss, theft, damage and mysterious disappearance (unexplained loss).
Right now, Jeweler’s Mutual is running the Season to Sparkle Sweepstakes, which has a grand prize of $1,000 jewelry gift card to the AGS retail jeweler of your choice. Ladies, you’ll want to send the men in your life over here to enter for your gift this season 😉
