Inn and Spa at Cedar Falls in Logan, Ohio (Hocking Hills)
A few weeks ago, I was invited to spend the weekend down in Hocking Hills at the Inn and Spa at Cedar Falls in Logan, Ohio. The beautiful property includes lodging, a full-service restaurant, a gift shop and a spa. Lodging consists of the inn (individual rooms), cottages, and cabins. The rooms at the inn are most like hotel rooms with a generous sleeping area with some seating, a desk, and a full bathroom. The cottages offer a private deck, a jacuzzi tub, and a microwave for some cooking. The cabins are multi-room standalone buildings with a separate bedroom and a living/kitchen area. They offer multiple decks, a gas stove, a whirlpool tub, as well as a full kitchen.
I stayed at the Inn in a room called Meadowlark. I loved being so close to the restaurant as well as the other main buildings. I was able to walk to the fire pit, the gardens, and the spa building.
Hocking Hills truly is the perfect weekend getaway from Columbus. The drive down is easy and quick (less than an hour if you’re coming from downtown or the Bexley area), but it feels like you are a world away. What I loved most about this trip was the ability to unwind, relax, and unplug a bit. Whether enjoying the delicious food on the restaurant patio, rocking in the wooden chairs on the porch, or swinging slowly in the hammock, I was able to just take in all of the beauty.
The great thing about Hocking Hills and the Inn was that there are also many fun activities and things to do and see in the area – so if you’re looking for more of an adventure-filled trip, stay tuned!
