Fashion Meets Music Festival – Columbus, Ohio
This Labor Day weekend marked the second annual year for the Fashion Meets Music Festival (FMMF) in Columbus, Ohio. FMMF was a 2-day festival of musical artists and fashion designers held near Nationwide Arena. I was fortunate to be able to cover the event to share it with all of you 🙂
There were so many great fashion events and musical events that it would have been nearly impossible to have seen them all, but I wanted to highlight some of my favorites here on the blog in a series of short posts.
I started my Saturday in the Fashion Tent – the first band that played was Ledges from Akron, Ohio. They had a great sound and I actually thought that the main singer sounded just like U2.
In their own words – “Allowing themselves to draw inspiration from both the instrumental realm and the hard hitting sounds of the Alternative/Indie scene, Ledges offers an intriguing blend of ambient textures driven by immersive melodies presented with starkly honest lyrics. Their music is a listening experience for those who enjoy bands such as Explosions in the Sky, Foals, and Manchester Orchestra.”
