What I’m Wearing:
If I could only wear one decade for the rest of my life, it would be the 70’s. Today’s look has a bit of a 70’s vibe, but it has been updated for the current fit and fashion.
I have a hard time picking one favorite piece from this look, but if I had to choose, I would go with the booties. I’m loving these booties and have already worn them a lot. I purchased them during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale and snagged them for a good price. I have been looking for booties for a few seasons and I really like the grey color. I also love the cut-out and the detailing along the cut-out. The best part may be how comfortable they are. I always find Sam Edelman shoes to be comfortable and nicely padded and these booties are no exception.
Coming in a close second after the booties would be these embroidered jeans from Abercrombie & Fitch. Abercrombie & Fitch has come a long way since high school and it’s becoming one of my favorite places to look for hip basics. I first shared some Abercrombie & Fitch clothes on the blog with this light pink Drapey Trench Coat and it’s still one of my favorite pieces. I even wore it to NYFW last year. I can already tell that these embroidered jeans will be similar. They fit well and they have a good amount of stretch. I also like the cropped length this season – not to mention the embroidery. It certainly adds a nice bit of a boho/hippie vibe.
Finally, I’m loving the blouse. It has a loose, boho fit with a tie at the waist that is very “this season.” This is another item from Abercrombie & Fitch. It pairs well with jeans and is the perfect transitional piece. It’s light enough that could wear it with shorts next summer, but the long sleeves make it perfect for fall when paired with jeans and booties.
